Arthur WegleinUniversity of Houston's Arthur Weglein says he has found a way to make existing seismic data “talk” to one another to produce a clearer picture of subsea formations.

The Cell/B.E. employs computer technology originally co-designed by IBM for video-game consoles, and UH seismic researchers are employing this extremely fast technology to more effectively target oil reserves.
