nuclear
theory/lattice QCD postdoctoral position
The Nuclear
Theory Group at the
University of Houston has a postdoctoral position available,
starting in the
summer or fall of 2022. Our interests include non‐perturbative
QCD, lattice
QCD, QCD at finite temperature/density, physics of high energy
heavy ion
collisions, physics of the Quark‐Gluon Plasma, equation of
state for hot and
dense strongly interacting matter. The position is initially
for two years, and
can be renewed for a third year. The group works in close
contact with the
experimental STAR and ALICE heavy ion group at the University
of Houston. The
position is funded by the National Science
Foundation through the MUSES collaboration
(https://muses.physics.illinois.edu/)
and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to
collaborate with
other scientists affiliated with MUSES. For more details on
the Nuclear Theory Group
at the University of Houston and its activities see our home
