Erin Kelleher

Erin Kelleher was born and raised in McLean, VA. She completed a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Archaeology at the University of Virginia. She went on to complete a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Arizona in the laboratory of Dr. Therese Markow. She pursued her post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Barbash at Cornell University. Erin joined the faculty at the University of Houston as an Assistant Professor of Biology and Biochemistry in August 2013.

When not in the laboratory, Erin enjoys cooking, running, wine, and caring for the adorable lab mascots.
