Lorissa Saiz

Ph.D. Student

Lorissa is from Houston, TX, and joined the Kelleher lab as an Undergraduate Researcher in January of 2018. She graduated in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in World Cultures and Literature. Lorissa started in the Ph.D. program in Fall of 2020 and is interested in the role of bruno in natural variation in tolerance to transposable elements.

Lorissa has a passion for both science and history. In her free time she loves to code, read, game, and care for her scale babies.
