Quan Hai Tran

Quan Hai Tran was born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering in 2014 from HCMC University of Technology, VNU-HCM. In 2015, he joined Daugulis group at the University of Houston. His research interests include organometallic and polymer chemistry with a particular emphasis on development of new catalysts for olefin polymerization as well as mechanistic study of reactions. Quan earned his PhD degree in Fall 2020. He joined the lab of Prof. Leibfarth at UNC-Chapel Hill as a Postdoctoral Associate in July 2021. In Summer 2023, he accepted position of a Senior Scientist at Pall Corporation in New York.
