Valeria Stevens

 

Valeria Stevens was born and raised in McAllen, Texas. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Houston in Spring of 2023. She joined Prof. Daugulis group in Fall 2021. During her time in the Daugulis' lab, she synthesized several catalysts for C-H functionalization and developed a new way to obtain alpha-diimines. Her favorite type of glassware includes Schlenk tubes and Erlenmeyer flasks. She is now pursuing her PhD at Rice University in the group of Prof. Hernández-Sánchez.
